Years at McKinley: 13
Nancy Rose–Weber is a 3rd grade teacher at McKinley Elementary School. She has previously taught pre-school, 4th, 5th and 6th grade. She even taught 7th through 12th grade while teaching at San Diego’s “Project Oracle, Home Study Program”. She is a native San Diegan and an alumnus of San Diego High School. She attended the University of California at San Diego on a Regent’s Scholarship where she earned a B.A. degree in History. She received her California Teaching Credential from
San Diego State University. In addition to her undergraduate degree, she also earned a Masters in Educational Administration from Chapman University and supplemental credentials in teaching English as a Second Language and Gifted Education at U.C.S.D.
“Teaching is an avocation for me, not just a career choice. I love to read, travel, garden, and sing. I enjoy attending movies, the theater, opera and even a few rock concerts. I also enjoy following the Padres and Chargers. I am married to a city planner and have two children who graduated from San Diego High School. One is an attorney and the other is a musician. I can personally attest to the high quality programs available in San Diego City Schools. I am especially excited about our G.A.T.E. program here at McKinley and how we are integrating it with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.”

Ms. Rose-Weber is an outstanding teacher, and her teaching is amazing. I had her for third grade, and I will always remember her. Now and then I visit her when McKinley ends and see how she is doing. She’s a teacher I’ll never forget.
