Cinco de Mayo Festival

McKinley Celebrates

Join our McKinley families and North Park community on Friday, May 7th from 5:30 to 8:00 in the school auditorium to enjoy dinner and live entertainment. We will be serving homemade Mexican food including birria, mole, and tamales made by McKinley parents.

During and after dinner, enjoy live performances from Mariachis and our McKinley students doing traditional Mexican and American folk dancing.

Cinco de Mayo commemorates the victory of Mexico over the French army at the battle of Puebla in 1862.

This has become a very popular celebration in the United States. Come help us celebrate Hispanic Culture and History and our school community.

If you buy tickets before May 7th, you will receive a $4 Kids Meal ticket for only $3 or a $7 Adult Meal ticket for $6.

Prices are $4 and $7 at the door on the day of event.
- Kids Meal includes bean and cheese burrito, rice and a drink.
- Adult Meals include one choice of birria, chicken mole or vegetarian tamale and a drink.
- Bring cash to purchase additional tamales, desserts or drinks.

Buy your tickets in the office or Friday, April 30th before and after school at a table set up near the school main entry.
