McKinley Students Celebrate National Women & Girls in Sports Day

On Saturday January 30th at least 100 students & their families attended the women’s basketball game at SDSU. This annual event celebrates Women & Girls in Sports Day with events held across the country. Special thanks to Ms. Pat for attending, as well as the parents who went on the bus or drove their kids to the event.

The pre-game festivities gave the girls a chance to interact with female athletes who play sports at SDSU. This included the teams from lacrosse, tennis, volleyball, softball, rowing & the swimming/diving team, too! Unfortunately, the basketball game ended with a loss, but the girls braved a looooong line to get autographs from the team anyway to end their day. Thanks so much for your support for this special event!
